 The
Reverend Dr. Linda M. Smith is a Preacher, Visionary, and
Transformational Leader. Her calling has lived itself out by God using
her to open doors for those who are marginalized. Her work entails
Equity, Inclusion, and Justice consultant, life coach, speaker, and
author. She is passionate about life transformation and the healing of
mind, body, spirit, and soul. She also catalyzes building
Transformational ministries for those marginalized by life situations
and circumstances.
She is the founding Pastor and Executive Director of the SKY Urban
Institute (Empowerment and Transformation Center). She has served as
Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Baptist Church Pastor Transitional
Pastor for two years. She is the principal owner of Dr. Linda Smith, a
speaking, consulting, and coaching ministry. She has served in numerous
capacities engaged prophetically for justice. She founded the Center of
Hope in Renton WA, a homeless shelter, and Vision of Hope. She also
serves as a Pastoral and Spiritual Provider for Mary's Place; a homeless
shelter ministry that brings healing and hope to many.
She
is a member of the NAACP, Equal Justice Initiative, and other
organizations involved in eradicating social injustices. She lives out
the calling of justice as "God is a God of Justice (Isaiah 30:18)". She
has been actively involved in diverse social arenas speaking and
advocating for social issues of equity, justice, race relationships, and
homelessness in the Greater Seattle and South King County area.
She is a graduate of City University, Seattle University School of
Theology and Ministry, Bakke Graduate University, and American Baptist
Seminary of the West. She has completed a Master of Divinity and
Postgraduate in Transforming Spirituality, a Doctor of Ministry Degree
in Transformational Leadership, and is currently completing a Doctor of
Transformational and Prophetic Leadership from Colgate Rochester
University. She is a certified Spiritual Director, Teacher, and
Transformational Leadership Coach and has coached many pastors through
the Seattle University School of Theology and Ministry Pastoral
Leadership program for over 10 years.
She is the author of Pathway to the Soul and several other publications.
She has a Podcast - Living Hope through Prophetic Truth airs every
Monday.
Dr. Linda Smith is a gifted preacher, administrator, and published
author. She is a Theologian, Spiritual Practitioner, and Prophetic voice
who plays a vital role in the community and the lives of those she
serves. Her work is dedicated to promoting healing and well-being,
focusing on navigating trauma, connecting to the Divine; Inner Peace and
Personal Growth; Values and Ethics, and Community and Belonging. She
skillfully combines her commitment to justice and liberation with her
expertise in spirituality and trauma in her educational, guidance, and
care services.
Dr. Linda believes that Life is a gift. Every person deserves to live
the best life possible and to their highest God-given potential and
purpose. Her goal in life is to help every person she meets to see and
follow the path that leads to the genius within them created by the
Almighty Creator!
