About MLK
A legacy of faith, justice, and community — rooted in the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Who We Are
Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Baptist Church has been a beacon of hope and a pillar of strength in the Renton, Washington community for decades. Named in honor of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., our church was founded on his enduring principles — that all people are created equal in the eyes of God, that justice and mercy must walk hand in hand, and that the church has a sacred responsibility to serve the least, the lost, and the left behind.
From our earliest days, we have been more than a place of worship. We are a family — bound together by our love for God, our commitment to one another, and our calling to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world. Through every season of change, our congregation has remained steadfast in its mission to proclaim the gospel, uplift the community, and carry forward the legacy of Dr. King.
